The AI Hub is a collaborative space for scientists, students, and fellows at the Weizmann Institute, serving as a catalyst for AI-driven scientific discovery. It is an evolving research community that supports a cross-pollination of disciplines, methodologies, and ideas to advance basic science and build new AI-based methodologies and  tools  for scientific research.

The AI Hub attracts top-tier AI experts from the hi-tech industry, such as engineers, programmers, and researchers, who join as Senior Fellows. They contribute profound real-world expertise in data science, machine learning, and AI, collaborating closely with senior Weizmann scientists and students to drive forward cutting-edge research initiatives.
 

Supporting Weizmann students

The AI Hub offers internship opportunities to Weizmann students in which participants undergo 3 months of rigorous AI training. Skilled Weizmann students and post-docs with AI or data science expertise serve as tutors, enriching the mutual learning experience.
 

Cultivating AI expertise, organically

During the training process, the interns collaborate with Fellows, tutors, Weizmann Scientists and other students to work on their research data and find solutions to complex problems with advanced AI methods, pushing the boundaries of AI in the pursuit of basic science research excellence. This fusion of expertise from the bottom up not only accelerates scientific discovery but also creates the Hub’s unique culture of organic, creative collaboration.
