Laurent Amar
Laurent Amar is the co-founder and co-president of VoiceAge Corporation, a Montreal-based company that develops speech and audio compression technologies. Laurent has more than 15 years’ experience in the development of successful business models for technology transfer in the telecommunications industry. He has been instrumental in building consortia for the development, standardization and commercialization of ACELP-based adaptive multi-rate speech and audio coding technologies.
Laurent is a member of Weizmann Canada’s National Board and he and his wife Nathalie have been long standing supporters of Weizmann Canada. As the leader of the ABC Quantum Foundry, Laurent is proud to surround himself with partners Danielle Bitton and Linda Castiel-Assouline, also from Montreal.
