Oncologisch Centrum Antwerpen (Belgium)

Our research department focuses on breast and prostate cancer and maintains a certified biobank with relevant samples available for research. We also have a translational cancer unit specializing in liver metastasis and inflammatory breast cancer, with collaborative projects (including PhD exchanges) with McGill University.

Dr. Joanna Vermeij  - Joanna.Vermeij@zas.be

McGill University – Goodman Cancer Institute (Canada)

A large breast tumor tissue bank is available (with some other cancer samples). While samples can’t be shipped abroad, collaboration is possible. A prior donation of ~CAD $140K is available to support joint projects.

Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh, Israel)

The Shamir Oncology Institute offers research collaboration with access to FFPE human tissue samples and a comprehensive cancer patient database. Upon ethical approval, specific pathological samples can be provided. For certain cancers, genomic sequencing data (since 2021) is also available. The oncology and pathology teams can support database creation and sample preparation.
